They talk too much, they smoke too much and they drink too much.
To the Irish, truth is like the weather, it changes every 5 minutes. We charmingly refer to it as blarney although in Yiddish it is more like "bobbameises" or in good ol' US-speak we call it BS!
Now the good news. Warm, witty and a way with words and oh so musical, it seems that the Irish were born with the fun gene. What a group of optimists they are.
You can't keep a good Irishman down. With a smile and a wink - they bounce right back from adversity and negativity.
To do the
"craic" is to hang out and talk, talk, talk. Doing the craic
is utterly Irish.
