What is brigishEYE?
- A picture may be worth a thousand words, but that has never meant that the camera never lies. The camera always lies, it always did and always will. No two photographers would ever photograph the same scene the same way. There really is no such thing in photography, or any art, as "objective". All reality is subjective.
- The “Journeys” have been sequenced so that each image is linked to the next to make a coherent presentation of my observations, memories and fantasies of land, sea and light, people, patterns, animals and textures.
- The “Stories” are typically short slide shows that are presented as videos and sometimes put to music to demonstrate some unique aspect of culture.
- The stories and journeys can be viewed variously as travelogues or social mini-documentaries or simply collections of images illustrating a larger concept.
- Some images have been tweaked in the computer to create what we call “photo-illustrations” This means taking liberties with "objective reality" to move beyond seeing into the realm of feeling. I try to capture and present moments in time as impressions of enhanced reality.
